What Is Fascia Hopping?

Fascia hopping is a very specific way of bouncing on the balls of the feet. If you are looking for something simple, quick and effective to improve your overall health and well-being, this is it!

A lot of us struggle with feeling stiff. And a lot of us spend a lot of time in one position, sitting, standing, driving.  We also spend a lot of time with our feet restricted in shoes. However, the human body is designed for movement, and healthy movement actually depends on information from our feet.

One way to revitalize our bodies is to take a few minutes to hop barefoot. This can be in place on both feet simply bouncing. It can be more dynamic, adding in a small jump in place. It can be done with alternating feet. It can be jumping jacks. 

When this bouncing is done mindfully and rhythmically it gives a quick boost of energy to the whole body, loosening the fascia “wetsuit”. It is also stimulating and soothing to the nervous system.  It is invigorating for the cardiovascular system and encourages healthy breathing. All of this results in better mental health, reduced stress, reduced anxiety, more resilience, more alertness, better productivity.
